I'm Vicky and I'm a graduate student majoring in TESOL. My previous experience with tutoring is teaching kindergarten and elementary-age children Chinese, and my teaching method is fairly hands-on. Guiding them in the right direction to learn language is my focus so that they will develop their language learning skills on their own. It is an amazing self-confidence booster for many students and I am very proud to see they begin to communicate in Chinese. I have received Chinese education overseas, and also have two years of Undergraduate studies done in Taiwan in Chinese Mandarin. I have been a tutor in Chinese Mandarin for more than 15 years, mostly focusing in Speaking/Conversation, all levels. Although I also have experience in teaching Reading/Recognizing Traditional Chinese Characters (Beginner and Intermediate level), as well as Writing Traditional Chinese Characters (Beginner level). I'm very flexible and adjust my teaching skills according to the student. So each student will have an unique learning experience, designed just for them, according to their needs.

I have always enjoyed teaching and helping others to learn. I don't believe in "I can't do it" or "I can't learn". I believe that anyone can learn anything as long as they're willing to learn and put an effort to do so. What is different is that some people have more ability than other to learn certain tasks, but eventually, everyone can learn.
