1. Assess student's current understanding of course material by asking a few questions and having student write a page summary. 2. Student and I again review material and locate gaps. 3. Student and I make timeline (or other visual aid). 4. Student is provided with study skills (reading, writing and memory- I'll bring these) 5. I hate lecturing! I do! This is why my tutoring style is very interactive. I don't like talking AT a person, I prefer to have a conversation. My goal as a tutor is to make subjects interesting, and also to make sure they stick- so you can do well on exams.
