Reading Comprehension Tutor Seeks New Learners!

I believe in working closely with parents,guardians and students. I meet the student where there are and assist and support them in understanding the subject. Reading Comprehension is a new skill of mine and I have two years of experience in the field. I also am very familiar with the Commom Core Objectives in the NC Schools and believe that they assist a student in understanding subjects better.
I have over thirty years of experience in the field of both Elementary and Secondary Education. I have taught in several Elementary and Secondary schools and also as a Public Historical Interpreter in a major museum here in North Carolina. I am also National Board Certified in area of Middle Childhood Generalist. I am certified 6-9 and 9-12 English. With the competitive demands of our youth and the need to excell, I know the presssure placed on kids today to compete on so many different levels is significant. Pressure causes much anxiety and undue stress, making it difficult for both the children and their parents.
