I realize that everyone learns differently, and I believe in flexibility. I also believe in encouraging success and consistency.
I have experience as a peer tutor. Since I am an avid reader, I love all things related to books, vocabulary, literature and English. I have young children that I help daily with homework assignments. I have also worked many years as a trainer in genetics. I am also a DI(directed instruction) volunteer for elementary school. I enjoy opportunities to share my knowledge with others and learn as well.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always thought of myself as a progressive teacher. I always thought children could learn to do anything they were asked to do. I always loved learning and felt it was my obligation to instill the same in all my students, no matter what age. I feel all students are influenced by the use of art and music to learn and that is what I use. I know I can make a difference in each child and give them a healthy learning environment. I will teach them to the best of my ability and help them reach their full potential.
I went to Ohio State in Art, then graduated at Ohio U. I taught 14 years in Florida and Ohio , grades 1 through 12; all subjects. I taught using primarily Art and music. My areas of expertise are Reading, Literature, English, and the arts. I have acted in Little Theatre, choreographed, and taught Drama in High School and in College.
