I have 30+ years of experience helping students with a variety of disabilities which include language disorders. My experience encompasses Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary, Middle, High School, and post-secondary. I have helped students with ADD/ADHD, Autism/Aspergers/PDD-NOS, learning disabilities, multiple disabilities, medically fragile, language impaired and ESL (English as a Second Language).
Students learn best when they feel safe to explore and learn from past mistakes. In fact, 'mistakes' should be viewed as opportunities to improve skills and learning strategies.
