I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 5th- 9th grades. I was a Title I Reading teacher for 3 years, working with struggling readers. I later went on to teacher 1st and 2nd grades self-contained. During those years, I offered tutoring during the summer to students ranging from 1st grade to 11th grade. I have been driven to excel in college and in my career in logistics. I've graduated from two of the top universities in the US, and retired from the USAF as a Major. I'm also a graduate of Air War College. I've traveled the world as an instructor navigator and defense contractor, learning about many cultures and religions. In addition to Spanish, I also speak Turkish. I also owned my own logistics services business, winning a contract with the USAF. My technique in teaching navigation was to expose the student to the underlying physics of dead reaconing and celestial object movement. Then we would put the theory into practice in the air. After graduating from SGC, I continued to provide tutoring services with the Sylvan Learning Center and the America Reads program at the University of Georgia.
