Learning is a lifelong process!

My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. Currently, I am resigned and staying home, but looking to work part time. I have experience teaching grades 7-12 and working with all types of students. The classes I've taught range from Honors English to a class which targeted students struggling to gain proficiency in English related PSSA skills.
Every student is unique and benefits from an individualized instruction. My style is business casual; I am firm yet warm and encouraging with students.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a tutor at Eastern University I came to the realization that not all students learned in the same way. I have a different teaching style as compared to the teachers putting things into real life examples, or even making things hands on so my students understand better. The students knew that I wanted them to succeed and would stop whatever I was doing to help them do homework, study, etc. I can relate to the students while still respecting them and encouraging them to shine to their highest potential
I recently graduated from Eastern University as a double major in accounting and finance.My courses in investments, finance, accounting and business have given me a solid base upon which I plan to build my career. I have a strong business background, with an MBA, CPA, and CIA. However, as a student at Susquehanna University, I also volunteered at least 2 days a week at a local preschool where I helped teach the students. In addition, I worked at a local elementary after-school program 2 days a week. I am currently pursuing my teaching certification through Drexel University.
While I enjoy business, working with children is my passion, hence why I am pursuing my teaching certification. I believe the best way to teach students any skill is to let them have hands on experience with it. As an example, in order to learn business skills, students need to practice the skills and understand their relevance in the real world.
