Teaching is a facilitating process. I believe it is my job to aide the student in developing a more solid understanding of the coursework in front of them. This may involve explaining the same concept to the child in a variety of ways to help them understand. The child may also just require a patient instructor who is willing to keep practicing until they have reached the mastery stage of learning. I've always enjoyed helping someone else. There is a certain satisfaction after seeing the look on their face of appreciation. I believe that one on one assistance is very helpful for students who are struggling because sometimes they are afriad to raise questions in the classroom, in fear of only them having trouble.
As a recent graduate from Salem State College, I have earned my BA degree in English, with a minor in History. Writing and reading is something I am very passionate about.
