I was a teaching assistant at North Georgia College and State University for three years. I assisted with laboratory sections of biology courses and taught them in the event of a professors absence. I provided department funded tutoring services during that time as well. I have taken the GRE and Biology Section of the GRE and received excellent scores on both tests in only one sitting. A Little Bit About Me...

I grew up in Jamaica and my formal years of education were under the british system. This sytem was very student friendly and much emphasis was placed on learning and not testing. I have earned a Bachelors degree double major in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of the West Indies Jamaica. A masters degree in Science Education 5-12 from Western Governors University Utah. I also completed my teacher education requirements at University of North Carolina Pembroke. I have over 12 Years of teaching and tutoring experience, I have taught in the North Carolina Public education system for the last 5 years, and is liscensed to teach all the Sciences from grades 5-12.

I have always been a very driven and accomplished student, so I feel that I should use my gift to teach others how to become great students. My goal is to work off of the strengths of the students I tutor and build their confidence so that they will have a greater desire to learn. I am an excellent listener. I am also quiet and patient.
