A Little Bit About Me...

Being exposed and working at different school districts and states allowed me to learn different styles, therefore, I was able to evaluate what works and adapt the techniques to my own style. Education allowed me to learn techniques and I do claim that I was successful leading a classroom and learning was achieved by my studens. I do believe that education is always open for improvement. I learned teaching and assessment techniques and I learned to modify teaching style according to students needs.

I tutored college students primarily in the fundamentals of algebra and English composition. In 2005, I was awarded the Student Support Service Award for tutoring. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from King's College and went on to earn a Juris Doctor. I have a strong business background, with an MBA, CPA, and CIA. However, as a student at Susquehanna University, I also volunteered at least 2 days a week at a local preschool where I helped teach the students. In addition, I worked at a local elementary after-school program 2 days a week. I am currently pursuing my teaching certification through Drexel University.
While I enjoy business, working with children is my passion, hence why I am pursuing my teaching certification. I believe the best way to teach students any skill is to let them have hands on experience with it. As an example, in order to learn business skills, students need to practice the skills and understand their relevance in the real world.
