My comments on tutoring Journalism : I have two years experience writing for the Daily Tar Heel and completed an internship with the local NPR station, WUNC.

Teacher with gentle touch - Very good at explaining new subj

I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.

After earning a Journalism degree in 2005, I spent four years as a full-time sports reporter at two daily newspapers in Pennsylvania (The Record Herald from 2005 to 2007 and the Public Opinion from 2007 to 2009).
