As a student I enjoyed most the teachers who facilitated learning. Teachers who lead students on a road of discovery as they learned, who taught me how to think and not what to think. I model my teaching after the same style I enjoyed as a student. Helping a student discover for themselves the material not only educates them but fosters a passion for the subject at hand. Rote memory has it's place and is essential, but when a student becomes passionate about a subject, then the door is open for them to excel at it. I teach and tutor with the goal in mind to foster that passion, that drive and to be able to carry it throughout a life of learning.

I have been a foreign language teacher and tutor for 25 years (including English, reading and writing). I have taught all levels, all ages, mostly French (my mother tongue), German (my second mother tongue) Hebrew and English. I taught in private schools - 3rd to 12th grades - and in the public sector too: middle and high schools. I took teen-agers abroad, to Europe, (I was their only chaperonne) to supplement what we learned in class. I also tutor adults and children, mostly in languages.
