Some people learn visually, some people learn by practicing, some people don't want to learn. My style varies according to the individual and what he or she likes or dislikes. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching Mathematics and helping students realize their true potential. I am not a 'mathematician' , I am a teacher who understands math, so my teaching style is very student centered. My focus is to simplify math concepts to the level of each student for better understanding. Mathematics can be very intimidating to students so my goal as a teacher is to help students gain confidence in their skills and have a positive learning experience.
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Secondary Education and a BS in Business Administration. My education major is in spanish but I am also certified to teach Mathematics. Having graduated from the University of Arizona with a BS in Microbiology and minors in chemistry and Spanish has enabled me to expand my knowledge in areas such as science in particular biology and math. Being bilingual permits me to help those students who currently have difficulties mastering the English language. During my undergraduate career at the UofA, I was a tutor for genetics. I received upper-division credit for it. My tutoring experience lasted the whole Spring semester.
