I believe that teaching is not knowing the answers, but understanding how to get to the answers. I am a very organized and patient tutor and have great respect for my students. I believe that with the right tools, any child can learn and improve their understanding. I know no two students learn in quite the same way, and I am able to adjust my teaching methods to fit a child's needs. I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. My main interests and degree lie in medical sciences. I have a Bachelors of biomedical sciences degree with chemistry and psychology minors. Establishing a friendship with a student can make the learning process go much better. Defining strengths and weakness can allow for appropriately allocation of time to promote more efficient studying. Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. I also have 3 years of experience helping children by teaching swimming lessons. Assisting my 15-year-old sister with her school work is also a regular activity. I believe in a teaching style that reflects a student's learning style. Whether they learn best by hearing, seeing, or doing it is important to cater to the student.
