My comments on tutoring Calculus I : Calculus is fundamental to the study of Physics. I am exteremely proficient in this form of mathematics.

Problem solving is the best way to learn a technical skill. For instance, in mathematics homework usually consists of a set of problems that the student must solve. By watching how students approach and solve these problems, I can both assess the student's understanding of the material and help them make the logical connections needed to better understand the material. Additionally, I encourage students to adopt the mentality that science and math can actually be fun and a worthwhile use of time.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate of Santa Clara University. I have a lot of experience in tutoring students in math of all different ages. Being a math major, a lot of my friends in college would come to me for math help when they weren't comfortable with getting a random tutor. I adapt my teaching style to fit the particular student. Some students learn visually, so I draw everything out to show them how to approach a certain problem. For some students, repetition is what helps them understand.
