Dyslexia Orton-Gillingham 1:1 online tutoring

I work on fostering independence and I am understanding and compassionate. I also like to play games and encourage my students to have fun while learning! As someone with a learning disability and anxiety myself, I understand kids who have these struggles.
I am an Orton-Gillingham certified and Barton Advanced certified dyslexia specialist with over a decade of experience working with children and adults who have dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD. I have been very successful at adapting my teaching style to fit the age and subject that I am teaching. I am easily able to gain students respect and attention, which has also made me a very useful substitute.
After I received my degree in Elementary Education, I was a substitute teacher in IA for one year. I then worked, taught and advised at a small private college in Iowa. I have also owned and operated a daycare in my home for over three years. Currently have have spent the past two years as a substitute teacher for the Buffalo, MN school district. A Little Bit About Me...

I have teaching and tutoring experience at the high school and college level. I love expanding their minds and sharing my knowledge with them. I will be a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Superior in just a few short weeks with my degree in English and Communications.
