A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that it is important to have fun while learning. A good example would be my experience with science. I used to hate science, but my senior year of high school I had a great teacher in my Advanced Biology class. He made the class fun and entertaining. I believe that is the best way to teach someone.

My son & myself have Dyslexia & ADHD, plus, my son has a few other learning disability's, so the experts say. We have learned together how to make all of this work for us. I researched a lot & learned how to teach him how to make it all this work for him. He was on low dose med's for 6 months, I took him off because he learned the difference in 7th grade. No reason for any more med's. I do not think kids should be labeled as "disabled" because others think different then they do! My son thinks way different then my daughter but that doesn't mean either one is wrong. My son is very successful at his job & he is now a boss & he loves his job. He is 31 years old and a great person, everyone like him.

As a Biology student at Brigham Young University I was hired to be a tutor in the Life Sciences Learning Center. I am a graduate in Communications can help in English, Writing, Editing but also took AP Calculus and AP Statistics and passed both tests. I love math but feel that communicating through writing is very important. Building a good relationship with a child is key to helping them learn. When good relationships are developed children can then trust the teacher or tutor to help them in whatever way possible.
