My teaching style is very flexible. Because I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults, the ability to adapt to the learner's ability level is especially important. Not all people learn at the exact pact, therefore, flexibility is essential as well as non traditional teaching methods. Some non traditional teaching methods I have applied include interpreting math problems through real life situations. I find that some kids will relate to NBA references while others prefer food examples. Either way, it keeps the child interested which is the key role of a good tutor.

My experience working with a diverse student community has enabled me to experience multiple learning capacities along with the added privilege of experiencing different cultures. I graduated with a double major in political science and philosophy and later completed my masters degree in political science. I currently teach government courses at a local community college. I've worked numerous jobs, none of which were fulfilling except the ones where I worked with children, particularly students who were troubled or had learning disabilities. I was a theatre major in college, so you might be quick to think I was a flake or someone who just coasted by through college, but I graduated with a 3.7 GPA, receiving some of my best scores in Logic and History, but my favorite subject was Shakespearean literature. I've worked with many children over the years in both a daycare and classroom setting, some easier than others, but I respected and enjoyed working with all of them.
