A Little Bit About Me...

I have experience tutoring Russian and mathematics to students of all ages. I am young and can relate very well to younger students, but I have alot of experience with adults as well. I grew up in Russia and completed my education at Samara State University. I am from a town that is famous for its aeronautical ,science, and engineering in Russia. I had my education evaluated and translated in the United States, which gave me an equivalent to a BS and an MS. A Little Bit About Me...

I am patient yet firm. My personal background in mathematics was fairly rigorous, so I always make my students show their work. As the subject material gets tougher, it becomes more critical to be able to check all stages of one's work. One of my math teachers gave me some sage advice: "Math teachers are lazy. We find the quickest and shortest route to a solution." I've taken this tongue-in-cheek wisdom to heart in my own way. While there is only one single solution for any math problem, there are infinitely elegant ways to arrive at that solution. I show my students different ways to solve problems because flexibility is key. Mathematics is a great way to keep one's thinking nimble and that can help throughout one's education.
