I had been teaching Spanish for the last 8 years, but the last four are very successful. The results amazed my college students who are also Spanish speakers, but not graduate from HS. My Spanish learners have all different background indians, asians, anglosajones, afro american, persians, etc, but all of them have one thing in common: to learn Spanish as a second or third language. Communicative Approach is my favorite method because is based on the idea that learning language successfully comes through having to communicate real meaning. My comments on tutoring GED : 100% success rate with the few students I've tutored for the GED including a special education student.

I've either taught or tutored in some form or fashion for over 17yrs now. I've had ages 3yrs to 22yrs old covering all manner of subjects and hobbies. One of my most rewarding experience was with an 18 year old special needs 10th grader ready to drop out of school. We met 2-3x a week for 6mths. In that time he raised his GPA from 1.2 to 2.7. He completed his 10th grade year and went on to take and pass the G.E.D. the following year.
