A Little Bit About Me...

As I suffered through my younger years with Attention Deficit Disorder, I feel that it is extremely important to appeal to almost all of the senses when teaching. As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board. I've been teaching informally most of my adult life. I earned a 193 out of a possible 200 on a Praxis test that covered content knowledge of my subject area (English literature), and 179 in a comprehensive middle school language arts test, and am enrolled in Capella University, where I'm currently pursuing a master's of science degree in K-12 studies.
