I am a firm believer that every child can learn in their own way and at their own pace. I incorporate differentiated instruction within each of my lessons to reach every type of learner. I believe that it is important for a teacher to recognize how each student learns and teach accordingly. I am very determined, yet patient, when it comes to students learning a new concept. I will try everything I can to help a student grasp a new concept. I have worked in the Education field for 9 years. I started off as a substitute teacher and later became a "permanent substitute" in 2002. In this same year, I also became a class monitor for Psycho-Edu with the Johnson Co. School System. These jobs both required me to help teach elementary students in every subject.
My goal as a teacher is to help children appreciate learning and have fun while doing. A Little Bit About Me...

My experience is mainly teaching Language & Reading to Pre-Kindergarten thru Fourth Grade students. I earned my Bachelor degree in Education and minors in Science and Business. I have 20 years of experience teaching Title 1 Reading & Language Arts.
I believe in hands-on teaching. I basically teach students who are below grade level in Reading & Language Arts. I enjoy discoveries. I teach constructively by using audio, visual and student participation. I feel every child can learn but in his or her own way. Teachers have to discover what works for their students. Each child is unique and learns differently. I make my students feel special. I am a firm believer that a child has to have confidence within themselves in order to achieve.
