I was enrolled in the Master's Program for Elementary Education at the University of Florida and volunteered over 300 hours in the public school system. I have only one year left before obtaining my advanced degree should I decide to return to school. I have also been a tutor and mentor for at-risk youth. I have volunteered with the public library and used to spend one day a week reading to children in foster homes. I have spent the past year as a Lead Teacher in Colorado where I was able to have my own classroom, assistant and students.
