I am a graduate of Tennessee Temple University, with experience tutoring at Tennessee Temple University, as well as University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, in various topics, including biodiversity, mathematics (up to pre-calculus), history, and American Sign Language. My comments on tutoring Algebra : I have tutored students, even while I was in high school, in Algebra 1.

This depends on the student. I can teach verbally for students who are auditory learners, visually for student who are visual learners, and kinesthetically for students who are kinesthetic learners. I know that every student can learn, it just depends on finding the specific learning style for that student.
I have been working as a teacher for three years now. I enjoy working in a private school setting (two years experience) because I can devote more time to lesson planning, after school, and creating individualized/small group curriculum as there are less students in the private school I teach at.
