The most important thing to me is making sure each child is able to learn in a manner in which they feel comfortable. Each person's learning style is as unique as the individual themselves. So, I like to get input from the student as to how they would like lesson plans and exercises to be implemented. I don't believe that there are children who can't reach their fullest potential as long as there is a teacher who is willing to put in the extra measures that are necessary. Due to my undergraduate experiences at NCAT, I was able to develop new skills while enhancing the ones that I already possessed. As a 2010 graduate of IUPUI, my student teaching experience has allowed me to work with a diverse group of individuals. For my first student teaching experience, I was immersed in an English as a second language setting. At my second student teaching experience, I was involved in an inquiry based, hands-on leaning curriculum that differentiated instruction to meet the needs of every child.
