Then the lecture time follows where we explore the particular topics which have been assigned to them earlier in the week. Problem solving methodologies are then discussed to assist students in doing their own solutions to problems. My style of teaching is to first get the student to understand the basics that are needed as a foundation. For example, my friend was having trouble completing accounting homework and I soon realized that it was because he had not memorized the basic equations; i.e., "assets - liabilities = owner's equity," and "beginning inventory + purchases - ending inventory = cost of goods sold."
