I love to incorporate a mix of slideshows and demonstratios in my teaching. I will begin the class with a quick icebreaker to initiate a conversation with my student. Following that, there will be a quick recap on the previous week's lesson, along with a 5 minute exercise. Next, the main objective of the current week will be covered. Following that, multiple demonstrations will be given, along with exercises for the student to practice themselves. Finally, a quick homework activity will be assigned to the student.
I have been teaching young students for over 2 years. I have mainly centralized my teachings around the Math and Computer Programming subjects; however, I am experienced in Chemistry as well. I like to find out what my students are interested in - I will make the subject matter approachable by relating it to the student's interests!
I've been helping people understand material for as long as I can remember! I am always more proud of myself for teaching material to others than I am learning it myself! I've been a teaching assistant for computer science for multiple semesters, volunteer at Girls Inc assisting with tech courses for middle schoolers, have done science demos to classrooms of elementary kids, and tutored for multiple computer science courses. I am in iOS programmer looking to tutor intro Computer Science classes. I can teach more advanced ones depending on the language uses.
