Algebra I is one of my top subjects! I homeschool my teenagers with this being a subject I teach. I also hold an Associates of Science Degree in Accounting.

I love to teach math and seeing that expression on a child's face the moment they understand what I just taught them. I like to really try and explain math taking my time so the child learns it the first time and then I like to give them examples and watch how they work the problem to make sure they are comprehending everything.
I just graduated in March with an Associates of Science Degree in Accounting. I also have been homeschooling my 15 and 12 year old for the last four years. This last year I taught my son Pre-Algebra where he learned a lot and passed my course with an A. I always had a strong hold for math and in high school I completed and passed Algebra II and Pre-Calculus. Algebra I is one of my top subjects!

I am a sophomore mathematics major at the University of Texas at El Paso. I have taught a GED class for adults facilitated by the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso (HACEP) and the YWCA. I have 6 years of tutoring experience and other programs under which I tutored include the National Honor Society, Beta Club, and JROTC.
My teaching style generally varies based on who I am tutoring/teaching. I generally treat my students as adults and under the assumption that they will go to college. I also tend to go a little beyond what is covered in the subject (especially in math) as a preparation for whatever course may come next (i.e. I would probably give a prealgebra student full fledged algebra work in order to prepare him/her for the next year).
