A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a bachelor's degree from one of the most well regarded institutions in the world and I have a solid math and science background. For two summers while an undergrad, I taught an engineering course to high school juniors participating in the YESS (Young Engineers and Science Scholars) program. I also tutored a junior high school boy for two years in all subjects. I've tutored classmates throughout high school in all subjects. And since July 2006, I have been teaching a GMAT test prep course through Kaplan.
I really like to tailor my style to each student. I also believe that when it comes to math, students often need as much help getting over their fear of math as they do with the actual concepts. Teaching comes naturally to me; I believe that everyone has the potential to be successful, given the right opportunity. As a special education teaching assistant I have tutored every level of education with the exception of adults. I am Cpr and first aid certified, as well as CPI certified. I tutored in ELL for two years in all basic educatiion subjects. I am currently employed by Marana High School/Special Educaation.
