A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in Howard Garner's theory of teaching to the student style of learning. They are as follows: Visual, Auditory, Musical, Kinesthetic, Interpersonal and Intrapersonal. As I work with the student and get to understand their abilities and limitations I develop a style that will work the best for that particular student.
I have worked with students of all grade levels from volunteering at the Cocopah Head Start preschool to working with high school students as a substitute teacher. I have an English as a Second Language endorsement and have worked with adults in improving the English level. I excell in creative writing and am currently assisting friends in obtaining their GED.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a daughter of an elementary education teacher, I have been driven by a passion to teach children in areas where they show need. I am in my second year in Northern Arizona University with junior credits. My major is in Sociology, but I believe that helps me in pin-pointing the most important aspects of helping children individually in different social settings. I have done tutoring before, but never with a school district. I believe that every child has a unique way of learning and I am capable and flexible in showing them the different ways in which they can learn. I am an extremely patient person and will not stop until my student has learned every subject problem area. I am dedicate to the student one hundred percent.
