I was a teacher assistant to an English Learning Development class in high school for two years, so I got to interact with students who just came to America from other countries, such as Iran, France, and Vietnam. I'm also currently working as a language tutor, helping American students with Japanese or Japanese students with English. I have helped so many international students in English. As for math, I would insist on helping friends and anyone who is wishing to need help.
For math, I would explain the mechanics and techniques of how to get the answer. I want to make sure the student understands fully so I would also be asking the student questions just to ensure he or she knows the material well.
