Entering Year 3 of sign and sign on a regular basis and love it. I decide how best the child learns before making a full plan of how to help them. I am currently in college, attending Chabot College. I was recently in a 4 year college down in Pomona, CA for a quarter, Cal Poly Pomona, and in a couple of years I will be transferring Cal Poly SLO. I passed my high school years with A's and B's and have also been passing my university/college classes with the same. In high school, I tutored kids for free and a lot of them were in grades above me. Near the end of high school I started teaching younger kids through care.com. I absolutely love tutoring and I think it's amazing to watch a child's mind grow right in front of you.

I like to show the concept behind the signs. Understanding the purpose, helps with learning. I grew up with a deaf mother and I speak fluent American Sign Language. I am considered a Child of a Deaf Adult (CODA), but not officially certified by any agency. I graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration Finance and worked the last 15 years as a uncertified, free lance American Sign Language Interpreter. My interpreting skills includes college classes (all subjects), medical appointments and social services visits.

I have been a substitute teacher for grades K - 12 for the past year in all subjects and have C-Best Certification.
