I encourage students to question problem solving methods in order to understand the fundamentals. After an explanation of the material I often follow up with several example problems to help students test their mastery of the subject. I do not emphasize memorizing equations, because students do not learn about the physical phenomena by memorization. I also explain to students study techniques that have worked well for me in the past. I work well with both individuals and small groups.

My industrial experience working as a design/drafter lead me to attend college at CSULB, graduating in 1974. I later worked 23 years as a teacher, incorporating math within the drafting curriculum.
