I was an Industrial Engineering Intern where I used AutoCAD on a day to day basis for plant floor flow and layout. I eventually interviewed perspective interns for their CAD abilities. My teaching style varies by person, because not everyone learns the same way. I adapt my teaching style to the learning style of the person.
I have been tutoring in various math, elementary, and Spanish areas for 13 years. I have tutored students from elementary school age to adults. I have also tutored students all over the US and in other coutries. I have listed all the areas that I am comfortable tutoring. My comments on tutoring Geometry : A student contacted me to help her study for her final exam. She needed at least an 85 to pass the class. In 2 1/2 hours, she said she learned more than she had all year. She got the highest score in her class and passed the class. I also helped another student ace an online credit recovery class to pass for the year and progress to the next grade.

I excel at identifying each students strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I can quickly adapt or create lessons as needed. Most of my students look forward to our time together, as we have fun, but get our work done.
I homeschooled my three daughters for 10 years, right through high school. All three have gone on to Colllege and have excelled, making the Dean's list. In the work world, two have been highly praised for their writing skills. After homeschooling, I began tutoring. Love children and think that all are capable of learning!

I graduate with my BS in Middle Grades Education on Dec 20th. I am ceritifed in Math and Social Studies and will seek my certification in Language Arts in Jan 2013.
