I have always loved to learn. In college, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Biology. However, I made it a point to minor in Chemistry and Linguistics and to certify in American Sign Language. I have always had the desire to achieve the highest goals I could set for myself. I have experience teaching many types of students. I worked one-on-one, daily, with an autistic student during my last position, so I understand that not every student learns in the same way. I think it works well to give shorter lessons to a small group, and then work individually with the students. I like to encourage them to help one another if they feel confident in the subject. I pay great attention to verifying that each student is following the lesson. Teaching has been an integral part of my life from graduate school to today. I taught English 1 and 2 as a graduate student at both WVU and Franciscan University of Steubenville.
