My comments on tutoring Computer : I can assist with the basics of computer skills. How to use the internet effectively (how to search properly to find info needed) as well as how to use the Microsoft software.

The first strategy that I use is building a relationship with the student by getting to know who they are, what there favorite things are, subjects, goals etc... This helps me discover what strategies I can use to help them learn. I also try to discover which learning method works best. Are they visual or auditory learner? Do they learn by having things taught step by step, or do they learn through visual or read aloud examples? I believe that every student has the ability to learn and to succeed; it is about finding the best strategy and providing that extra support. Being that advocate for students is the reason I went into school counseling.

After that placement exam, it was decided that I did not have to take any English courses, or, I would take more advanced courses. I did choose the latter. I had a wonderful experience attending MSMC.I learned a wide variety of skills and techniques throughout the Psychology teachings as well as about the intriguing study of Psychology itself. There were many opportunities to examine and research philosophies and perform actual research as a team. I had the experience of learning a long side other students, however, I did tutor other fellow classmates at various times throughout my educational career in many venues.
I truly enjoy presenting people with ideas and having them gain the knowledge and capacity to gain the intended results. I have taught and mentored people within my work setting as well. My preference has always been to allow someone to think of ideas after you give them the tools they need; it becomes both productive and rewarding at the same time.
