I have just earned my TESOL certification and am looking forward to beginning teaching English. I have spent a majority of my life teaching in one form or another. My elementary school, Hamen Elementary, had a program in which good students could tutor mentally challenged students. I did that for three years. I also spent 8 years teaching martial arts and three years teaching dog training. I am also responsible for the majority of my younger brother's education. He is special needs and got expelled from kindergarten. He has since graduated. So I have a great deal of experience teaching students of all levels and abilities.
I'm pretty laid back. I like my students to make effort and hope to add a little fun in there but for the most part I expect my students to learn at their own pace and it doesn't matter how fast they move but they have to make effort.

Children loves my style of tutoring! It is FUN!

My teaching style is "thinking outside of the box", where I try in multiple ways to teach a student until they have an understanding. I strive to include various learning styles when working with children. Some students learn best by listening or writing, while others need movement or tactile experiences to help in comprehension. From the age of six years old to his senior year in high school, I tutored my brother in all subjects, from math and english to electives.
