Spanish is one of my top subjects! I have been studying Spanish for about 7 years now, along with having first-hand experience in using the language while studying in Valencia, Spain. I have a great passion for foreign languages and I love teaching those who want to learn as well.

Beginning with the basic classes, I have had more than 7 years of experience in studying foreign languages, and I developed a passion for them ever since. Making the learning session interactive makes a world of difference in teaching a language, and I find that incorporating play-acting into a learning session excites and motivates the student. Using the list of vocabulary words and rules of grammer the student is currently in the process of learning, I like to create a scenario with the student, stand up and walk away from the table, and pretend that we are actually at the dentist, the grocery store, etc. I also like to use topics that relate to the student's age and environment, thereby make the language 'real' to them.

A Little Bit About Me...

I always try to start from "where the student is" and build on from starting point. I believe in positive reinforcement and that anything worth having in life requires consistent effort. I frequently am told after a day of subbing, "Mr. Burns, you are the greatest sub ever!" My wife and I also still perform as musicians in local restaurants, including several Mexican restaurants where we perform many songs in Spanish.
