Experienced Reading Specialist

Through the years I have had the opportunity to teach a variety of students with special needs and different abilities. I seek to find the individual's learning style and devise a plan that will fit that student. The curriculum and teaching style should fit the student, not the other way around.
I am a dedicated and experienced teacher in both ELA and Reading having taught for fifteen years in Vermont and New York State. Hi! I'm looking forward to working this summer, and I am especially excited about the opportunity to tutor online! I graduated from TJ High in 2011, and I'm now attending High Point University as a Strategic Communication and Human Relations double major. I am also working toward a minor in Marketing. Throughout high school, I earned a 3.92 grade point average, which means in my 8 semesters, I only finished 2 classes with a grade lower than A. During this time, I took 7 AP courses (World History, Psychology, US History, Calculus AB/BC, Literature, Environmental Science, and European History), which allowed me to enter college more than a semester ahead of most of my peers.
