Patient tutor wants to help you with your learning goals!

Very patient. I have felt firsthand the difference that a patient tutor can make in the journey of learning a difiicult subject.
I have two children at home that I am always teaching. During high school, I often tutored anyone who needed it, particularly in the Anatomy and Physiology classes. I have taken 4 years total of A & P between high school and college, and have passed each course with an "A". English has been a very strong subject for me. I took Advance Placement classes for college credit in HS, and received the highest score on my exam in the school.I thoroughly enjoy tutoring children.

I try to instill in the students that they can do the work. Students can do the work, the only thing needed is to get them to acknowledge that they can do it. Usually all they need is to have the process re-explained to them and if needed, have the process explained in a different method.

I believe in completing an individual needs assessment and designing a study approach around that assessment. I believe in constant reinforcement and reassessment. I also believe it is useful to utilize as many and as varied forms of instruction as possible (written, audio-visual, demonstration, etc.) to solidify a concept. I taught 8th through 10th grade at a Christian School in Ludowici. I taught every subject, but never a math course higher then Algebra 1.
I am a firm believer that the best way to learn varies from subject to subject. When I taught math my view was that the best way to teach was to break everything down into a step by step process and have the students memorize the process. Most other subjects can be learned through repitition, but math requires everything to be broken down.
