To be clear up front I am not a teacher. However, I have acquired valuable skills working as a highschool paraprofessional for almost eight years. I spent the majority of my days in math classes and science classes helping students and learning the subject right along with them. I also spent an hour or two every day in study hall to help students with homework (math, science, english, social studies) Aside from the practical knowledge I gained in each classroom I was able to find new and different ways over the years to help individual students with very individual needs.
Part of the advantage I have as a math tutor in particular is the fact that I failed math miserably in highschool myself. A Little Bit About Me...

Experience: My teaching experiences are diverse! I am a Certified MN Teacher in Health and Physical Education, but have been involved in various other content areas. I am enthusiastic about learning and willing to assist students with their learning goals! My experiences began at the Middle School level, teaching 8th grade Health. Next, I taught 6-8 grade Physical Education. Then I substitute taught in nearly every subject, grades 4-12. This past summer I taught a Wellness and Recreation class for a chemical dependency treatment program. For the last year, I have taught night school at an Alternative High School in Health and PE.
