I have lived in Brazil for a total of 13 months, studied portuguese at university and on my own for 3+ years. I know firsthand the challenges and frustrations, but also the fun you can have learning the ins and out of this language as an adult. I have an expansive vocabulary, have worked a lot on my own pronounciation, and feel confident helping individuals or groups attaining high levels of fluency in portuguese.
Hands on, conversation, music and film. Basically I would teach the way that I learned, which was learning how to navigate life situations (ordering food, making small talk, asking for advice) as well as vocabulary games and listening to wonderful music to improve pronounciation.
