I like to use working examples of principles. I also embrace the "why" behind the facts as a method of reinforcing knowledge gained.
Most of my training has been hands on experience. I consider this a bonus as it promotes practical application. I did attend Boston University in search of a biology degree and marine biology minor. Personal circumstances made completion unavailable. I have a good experience of tutoring hundreds of students over a decade period of time. I have tutored from first grade student to bachelors' degree students. I moved to NYC in 2001 to become a Broadway actor; however, I did not want to live the actor "lifestyle" and in essence become a professional waiter. I signed up for an alternative teaching program and accepted a position as a social studies teacher in the projects of East New York, Brooklyn. Being around children that ranged from ages from six to twelve I had to find many different ways to teach kids how to learn things such as history even though they had problems reading and math even though they were just learning how to count. So at the start I would try a visual approach because if they could see the problem they were doing they had a chance to get the number right. If they had problems reading I would break down a word looking for smaller words that they knew. So I would have to say my teaching style would be an adapting teaching style because not all children learn the same way.

I began my higher education at Tallahassee Community College in 1997. After receiving my AA Degree I transferred to F.S.U where I majored in Criminology with a minor in Spanish and graduated in 2003. Since that time, I've worked as a legal assistant/paralegal with different law firms in town. Recently, I decided to return to school and received my certificate in Massage Therapy.
