My comments on tutoring Statistics : A+ in Stats 100 and A in Stats 450 at The University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Also I just tutored my good friend this past semester in Statistics and she went from a 30% to a 90%.

I adjust to the learner and speak their language, establish rapport through mutual respect, and try and make it as fun as possible.
While I was a Rotary Exchange Student – South Africa | 1999-2000, I volunteered to tutor students of various ages every subject, except Afrikaans, and was very pleased with their progress, and enjoyed it. My teaching style varies, depending on what the individual student needs, but it is always driven by an enthusiasm and verve for education (particularly in science) that I have been told is infectious (not a great thing to say to a biologist, but it's the thought that counts). Learning is most effective when the learner understands the importance of the material to their interests and the world around them.
