I try to involve as many senses as I can when illustrating new concepts and ideas. Math manipulatives are essential elements for early math comprehension. Whenever a game can help solidify ideas, it is utilized and learning is always fun. Children reach benchmarks, such as reading independently and math computation at different rates, so it's important to be consistent but very patient and encouraging. A Little Bit About Me...

I am finishing up my Bachelors degree in Dietetics at SUNY Oneonta- I will be graduated in December. I have been offered positions as a chemistry tutor but denied because of my other jobs. I was a student mentor for a year in high school to students that were "slacking" or wasn't understanding one or more of their classes. I worked at Albany ARC and worked to train young adults and adults in the kitchen- which also included basic skills such as counting and reading.
I really would like to help make a difference in someone's life and help them understand academics just like myself. When I try to teach someone, I always explain to them the subject as basic and simple as possible. I give a few examples, and then help them figure it out themselves.
