A Little Bit About Me...

I currently tutor a 9 year old and a 13 year old, both for reading and writing. I've taken early childhood education courses before, and worked hands on in a preschool, in which I put together lesson plans and taught to the class. I'm also the oldest of five, and grew up with a big family. My younger brother and sisters (ranging from 4-19 years old) are my absolute best friends, and one of the main reasons that I have such a love for children. I've worked as a lifeguard, so I am CPR knowledgeable (no longer "certified), and have even held various babysitting jobs in the past. I truly enjoy working with children and would love to go back to school and obtain my Masters in education. I feel that each child has their own way of connecting to education and it's a magic moment when you, the teacher, find and help them utilize that connection. I am calm and patient, bubbly and outgoing, creative and responsible. Most importantly, I love helping people and being an individual that can make a difference.
I graduated with a double major from Fairfield University where I was involved with volunteer groups that tutored middle school aged children from surrounding areas.
