My tutoring began in when I was employed with Nazareth Colleges' Partners for Learning program. This program worked with several schools in the Rochester, NY area to provide in school and after school tutoring and teaching assistance to children grades 6-12. I specialized at one school, Hope Hall in Gates, NY, where I worked with students who had a variety of learning challenges. I assisted students with subjects such as: English, Spanish, French, math, language arts, science and social studies. My experience with special populations includes: three years full-time on the Navajo Reservation; three years part-time at the SALT Center at the University of Arizona working with learning disabled students; and a hands-on nature camp for deaf middle-schoolers. A Little Bit About Me...

One of my many passions in life is working with kids, specifically tutoring them. I have found that it is easier to tutor a student when they know that they are surrounded by positivity. With this I am referring to the feeling of comfort and knowing that it's ok to be wrong. I notice more confidence in my students when I establish a friendship with them.
