Violin is one of my top subjects! I am recognized by the Chicago Tribune as a violinist and have also been active in school and private teaching for over 20 years. I have successful students who are now employed in Music. I have developed many training aids and have had students give full recitals.

I am a certified secondary Public School Orchestra teaching specializing in Strings. I also earned a Master's Degree in Violin Performance and have performed under orchestra contract. I am skilled in teaching beginning to advanced Violin students with proven success. I am a three-time honor student with additional college honors. I am also an arts grant recipient. I am a student of David Cerone (Cleveland Institute of Music) and also studied with him in New York. I earned three degrees in 6 years and am a prove advanced talent.
I teach the conservatory style of Violin and have adapted the style for younger students. I have also tutored Music Theory.

I work best in one-on-one situations with students of most ages, particularly older students. I make sure that the student understands my explanations of topics, and if they do not, I make sure to rephrase coherently so that they do. I actively engage the student in their learning, encouraging them to answer their own questions rather than simply lecturing. I believe that getting the student to believe in him or herself is the key to success, and I find encouraging them to move in the right direction and correct themselves is more effective than reproaching mistakes.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Butler University with highest honors in English Writing and high honors in Spanish.
