My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : I focus a great deal on reading and reading comprehension for my English Language Learners. Reading as well as comprehension are essential to succeeding in school and in life.

I have been teaching for over 4 years now. I received my certification from DePaul University in Secondary Education Social Sciences. I am also endorsed to teach Arabic; a language I've studied for over 10 years. Since graduating from DePaul University in 2010, I have worked at a Chicago Public School located in the Northside. I have taught both U.S. History as well as World History to various levels including Regular and English Language Learners. As for Arabic, I have taught both Regular and Honors Arabic to native speakers as well as non-native speakers.

I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.
