- I am patient with the student and make sure that he/she knows and understand that I am here to help and to provide opportunities to him/her to use the available resources at his/her disposal. Example: how to use the internet efficiently. It is a powerful tool if you know how to use it. - I let the student define and explain clearly what is it that he/she does not understand. Creative Writing is one of my top subjects!

I'm patient. I'll try and make my lessons easy to understand. I know how frustrating language arts can be, but I also know how rewarding it can be as well. I can relate very easily to high school students, because I just graduated from high school 5 years ago.
I started tutoring in 2009 through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana. I tutor my "Little" for an hour once a week. I help with whatever subject they need. My specialty is Language Arts, but if you need help with basic math, I can do that too. I have observed many elementary, middle school, and high school classes. I know what works best, especially since I'm going to become a high school language arts teacher in a few years.
